Previous JCB Cooperstown team parents have assembled a recommended list of items to be packed and other insider information that will be helpful for future teams.
The number one rule is to put player’s name on everything you bring.

- 1 game hat
- 1 navy jersey, 1 white jersey (not all of the player's current numbers were available, so be prepared to have some changes)
- 2 pairs blue socks (you can bring extras)
- bull pen jacket
Equipment/Uniforms to Bring
- bat bag with helmet, glove, bats, batting gloves, catcher’s gear
- white baseball pants – 2 pair
- belts – 1 red
- sliding pants
- sneakers / turf shoes / slides
- cleats - no metal spikes
To Pack
- flip flops or sliders for shower
- bathing suit (with liner cut out) for shower
- shampoo
- soap (for bathing)
- toothbrush (in a case)
- toothpaste
- deodorant
- sunscreen
- bug spray
- chap stick
- baby powder or gold bond powder
- carrier or mesh bag to carry items to bathroom
- 2 bath towels and 2 washcloths
- sleeping bag and/or blanket (set of sheets, if you’d like)
- pillow and pillowcase
- something to sleep in
- undershirts
- 2 team practice jerseys (so when walking around we have team shirts on)
- other miscellaneous team shirts / t-shirts
- team hat(s)
- sweatshirts(s)
- shorts
- pants
- sneakers
- socks
- small clip-on fan with batteries (for bunk, make sure opening is thick enough for bed post) (not required, some kids like a fan to sleep)
- extension cord (for charging phones/electronics)
- cell phone charger
- ear buds
- money for the concession stand inside the village ($30-$50 suggested)
- roll of quarters, or one-dollar bills for the arcade
- trading pins
- 1 case of bottled water (each player’s family to bring)
- 1 case of individual bottled Gatorade / PowerAde (each player’s family to bring)
Labeling
- CASV laundry services likes gear labeled a specific way. Coaches should bring sharpies or fabric pens to label in the dorms.
